Our Story

More than a shop — it's where your next adventure begins

Storyteller Comics & Games was born from a simple belief: that the best stories deserve a home, and the best players deserve a table.

Located on 6th Street in the heart of Rapid City, we've spent over a decade building a space where collectors, casual readers, and tabletop gamers all belong. Whether you're hunting for that elusive first print or looking for your first dungeon crawl, you'll find us right here — shelves packed, dice ready, and the door always open.

We curate with care. Every title on our wall, every game on our shelf, is something we'd recommend to a friend. That's the Storyteller standard.

What We Offer

Everything you need to dive deeper into the story

From single issues to full campaigns, we've got the tools and the team to get you there.

Comic Books

Major and indie publishers, graphic novels, and back-issue bins. New releases every week — if it's worth reading, it's on our wall.

Board Games

From lightweight party games to heavyweight eurogames. We stock the titles we actually play — and we'll help you find your next favorite.

Tabletop RPGs

D&D, Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and more. Rulebooks, accessories, and dice that won't roll off your table.

Collectibles

Figures, variants, and graded keys. We know what holds value and what looks great on your shelf — ask us anything.

Community Events

Game nights, tournament play, and meetups. Our shop is a gathering place — come as you are, leave with new friends.

Trade & Consignment

Got comics or games taking up space? Bring them in — we buy, trade, and consign. Fair prices, no hassle.

Community

Built by readers, gamers, and storytellers — for everyone

"Storyteller is the only comic shop I drive past other towns to get to. The staff actually knows their stuff and the game nights on Thursdays are legendary."

"Brought my kids in for their first board game purchase. Walked out with a game, a tutorial, and an invitation to Saturday morning play. That's the kind of place this is."

"As a collector, I appreciate that they don't just stock whatever's trending. There's real curation here — and the consignment program has helped me fund my own habit."
